My cars really do complement each other so well.

The weakness of one is the strength of the other.

Kinja'd!!!

The Miata is fairly miserable to drive any distance in, with its lack of functional air conditioning, lack o trunk space, stiff springs, and gearing that results in 4200 rpm @ 80mph. Meanwhile, the TA has solid AC, truck like storage capacity, reasonable suspension, and turns something like 1500 rpm @ 80mph.

The TA excels at stop and go and 55+, while the Miata loves 20-60.

The weight, springs, and solid axle limit the TA’s autoX prowess, whereas the Miata is basically perfect for it. Light and nimble vs. big and torquey.

I find both of them rather handsome, and I couldn’t be happier to have both around to drive... like once a week (I put the Miata in its garage this morning, and went and got groceries in the TA just now, so I probably won’t drive either until this weekend)

It so cool to really enjoy your cars, isn’t it?

“The weakness of one is the strength of the other”

So which one did you take the pop-up headlights out of?

At least they can both park like BMWs

RIP me. At least I’ve been told the Miata’s aren’t a pain to change, and the Firebird’s are both new.

There’s a reason I park at the edge of the parking lot...

Haha I understand. I spent enough time in college getting door dings in the LS I respect it.

It’s really great.

I would love to have a comfy/practical 4 door cruiser though. I’m thinking either Cadillac CTS V-Sport, CT6 3.0TT, or maybe a (less comfy) GTS-4 R32?

and you can see in the photo that there’s about a 30'-0" lane beyond my cars, so I’m not in the way. The Miata has moved over to the parking garage now though.

Oh, that CT6 would be ideal. In the realm of reality though, a Crown Vic or even an Impala would get you most of the way there.

90's Impala SS is a possibility, but I think Panthers are hateful pieces of junk. CTS V-Sport prices are falling into the high $20k range and will probably be in the mid-low $20s by the time I have space for one.

I have to say in the Panther’s defense, that my rental Crown Vic and Grand Marquis that I drove out of Grand Rapids gave my family a super comfy ride with enough trunk space to fit a Star Destroyer.

My cars are never both outside at the same time so I never get very good pictures together. But I feel the same way about my STI and Miata. The Miata is great to beat the ever loving crap out of and is a blast in the canyons, during autox, and track days. But it’s terrible for highway cruising or traffic, especially on hot days. The Subaru has actual storage space, real AC, and doesn’t require effort to go fast. But it still is fun on a twisty road so it’s never dull to drive that either.

Same, the TA has never let me down and is plenty capable of chasing lighter cars in the twisties without getting too crossed up.
